In our 100-year history, Holy Name High School has always emphasized the development of the ‘Triple Threat’ student, dedicated to the improvement and growth of mind, body and spirit. Over the years we have strived to achieve that goal through exceptional academics, a diverse athletic and extracurricular program and a strong emphasis on faith.
To continue this tradition we need to provide our students with 21st century facilities. Our current grass playing field and accompanying track are no longer adequate for our athletic programs and put our outdoor athletic teams at a disadvantage. In today’s competitive high school environment we need to be on an even playing field. Most of the other high schools in our region are already training and playing on synthetic turf fields and running on all-weather tracks.
That is why Holy Name has committed to building a state-of-the-art synthetic turf multi-purpose field and all-weather track to provide a safe and sustainable facility where our students can train and compete. For the first time ever our outdoor sports will have a true home field advantage. It will broaden student participation and allow more practices, more games and a better sense of community to be fostered on campus. It will also help us to attract prospective students.
This project is a critical improvement to the Holy Name campus. That is why we are asking you to Team Up for Turf and show your Namer spirit and pride. Help us make our vision a reality!
The time is now to update this essential resource located on our campus. TEAM UP FOR TURF and support us as we build a multi-purpose field and track at Holy Name.
